I’ve been skeptical of MRC as well. There is little to no information on what they’re “Mission” is. Personally I will withhold my donation funds until they provide some specifics.
I personally like the community care initiative. My local counselor, who is a PTSD specialist, is far better than my VA assigned doctor.
My combat unit recently held a reunion and everyone is struggling with the demon. I made it a point to share my success with the local care option, especially for the guys who live in remote areas.
I hope that MRC is going to be an organization for good but it’s really hard to tell. Most important, check on your buddies.
Totally agree about ending forever wars and supporting VA. However if there are private groups that can help vets, why not. Too many who come back from combat deployment or a long deployment fall through the cracks. No one checks in and or follows up on how the vets are doing. If they have a strong family support system, they fare better. But many do not and don’t seek help. There is void that needs to be filled and if the private groups can do it, more power to them!

In relative terms, the topic scope is a "Voyage to the Center of the Earth", vice a #RabbitHole. Moreover, VA privatization is SO much more than a #CanOfWorms. It is akin to lopping the side off of an African Termite Mound. Seriously.

So in spite of acknowledging he has no evidence of nefarious motives, much less actions, this author “feels” and finds it “difficult to believe” that its bona fides are sufficient for his critical eye.
He also apparently does not either know the difference between “warts” and “worts” or if he does, he does not proofread his own writing.
I suppose that alone makes me feel and find it difficult to believe he is worthy of my time and attention.
